We went to Shinjuku Golden Gai yesterday, a small area in Shinjuku with a lot of little bars and venues, all packed together in narrow passageways.

It was raining, and all the neon lights were reflected beautifully on the wet streets.

We found a cheap bar:

This is Shōchū. Very good.

It was a really good night and we had a lot of fun. But I don’t think I’ll come back to this place. It is so weird, with all the businessmen just coming from work, going to the bars for drinks or to have a chat with hostesses after a long, tiring day of work. The atmosphere here is quite cold, I think. A really lonely place to be after all.
